- Died: Nov 15, 1928, Toledo, Ohio, at age 62
- Buried: Nov 17, 1928, Memorial Park, Toledo, Ohio
General Notes:
Lived at 539 Segur Ave at death Lived at 520 Jarvis in 1900 census According to Census she was born in Germany but according to death certificate she was born in Toledo, Ohio. Suspect that census is correct. On census records a Susan Smith is listed as living with this family. She is listed as the Mother in Law of John's. This is confusing since Catherine's death certificate has listed Mary Schmidt. This must be the same person with an americanized name or perhaps she remarried. Note that both Catherine and Susan Smith entered the US in 1868 - obviously together and when Catherine was just 2 years old. ? - What happened to her father - were they ever married?
Listed on Paul's Birth certificate as having 9 children of which 5 were still alive on 4/16/1942. None had been born dead. Yet only 7 survived until adulthood. Who were the other 2?
