  General Notes:

Grandma was a small, intelligent dynamic women who was deeply religeous. She loved to play the piano and continued to give piano lessons in to her 80's. She was highly educated having graduated from the University of Toledo in 1917. Contrary to most female college graduates of that era she chose to marry and raise a family. She was active in politics and worked the polling booths for the Democrat party every election after women were given the right to vote.
She was active in the church making crafts for St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary - which is why we all had to save our christmas cards!

Magdalena Braunschweiger

Mrs. Madgalena Braunschweiger, 84, formerly of the 3200 block of Jeannette Avenue, died Tuesday in the Lake Park Nursing Care Center, Sylvania, where she had lived for about a month. She was the widow of Paul Braunschweiger. She was a charter member of Kappa Phi Upsilon sorority at the University of Toledo and a 1917 graduate of the university. She was also circle chairman of the hospital auziliary at St. Luke's Hospital, and Democratic precinct chairman in north Toledo for 50 years. Surviving are her daughters Mrs. Emily Palm and Mrs. Kathryn White, and brother, Emil Frey. Private graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Toledo Memorial Park. The body will be in the Foth Mortuary, Sylvania Avenue, after 7 p.m. Wednesday. The family requests that any tributes be in the form of contributions to the radio ministry of St. Paul's Lutheran Chruch.

Frey; 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren also survive. Friends may call at the Foth Mortuary, 3815 Sylvania Ave., at Woodley Rd., from 7 to 9:30p.m. Wednesday. Private graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Toledo Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Radio Ministry Fund.
