Elizabeth Jane Brown Dog Breeder, Writer
Elizabeth jane Brown, 47, a dog breeder and freelance writer who also had worked from 1983 until this year as a recruiter for Sachs Freeman Associates, a Bowie-based defense contracting firm, died Dec. 2 at Prince George's Hospital Center after a heart attack.
Mrs. Brown, who lived in Bowie, was born in Washington. She graduated from Wheaton High School and atttended the University of Maryland. IN the 1960s and 1970s, she lived in Mexico, England and Japan when her husband, Larry Brown, was posted there on assignments with the Department of Defense.
From 1964 to 1969, Mrs. Brown had been an analyst with the National Security Agency. She was a breeder of Standard Schnauzers and Pons dogs, a rare Polish breed.
As a freelance writer, Mrs. Brown had written articles about her loss of vision because of diabetes. She also had lost a leg to diabetes.
In addition to her husband, of Bowie, survivors include two sons, Larry Brown Jr. and Kevin Brown, both of Bowie, and her parents, Herbert and Clarabelle Arnold of Wheaton.
Elizabeth married Larry Gregg BROWN, son of Wayne Riley BROWN and Margaret Lois DORRELL.
