Margaret Lois Brown
Margaret Lois Brown, 82, of Bloomington, died Wednesday at her residence.
Born July 14, 1913 in Johnson County, she was the daughter of Thomas and Margarette (Gregg) Dorrell. She was a school teacher for Kent City Public Schools in Michigan. A graduate of Center Grove High School, she received a bachelor's degree from Acquinas college.
She and her husband, the late Wayne R. Brown, helped establish special school and work programs in Indiana and Michigan.
Sh was active in the Bloomington Chapter of Seet Adelines and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Brown of Bloomington, Larry Brown of Bowie, Md and Jon Brown of Sparta, Mich and four grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Coons.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Boles officiating. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetary in Johnson County.
Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Friday at Allen Funeral Home.
