participated in the gold rush in Colorado near Cripple Creek. Also engaged in railroad and construction work until he lost his right hand and forearm in a dynamite blast. Moved in 1901 to Warden, Grant Co, Washington. Was a cattle rancher and water commissioner. ²⁷
