Obit; Laura Raper
Mrs. Laura Raper, 78,2607 South Bryan, died at 12:45 am. Sunday at Bloomington Hospital.
She was born Aug. 23, 1891, in Monroe County to Henry and Emma Alice Hendricks Burks. She was a retired cook at Bloomington High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Raper, who died in 1959, She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, Edward, Louisville; a stepson Frank, Bloomington; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mm, Roxie Sinex, Bloomington, Miss Carrie Burks, Bloomington, and Mrs. Lola Burch, Taylorsyille, ILL; and two brothers, Ben Burks. Louisville, and Ted Burks, Monroe County.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Greene and Harrell Chapel with Bro. Johnnie Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens
Friends may call until 9:30 p m tonight and until services Tuesday.
