Obit;John Addison Raper
John A. Raper, 92, a retired Shower Brother's employee, died at 4:30 a.m. today at his residence, 505 W. 11th St. He and his wife, Laura, had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary only six days age on Christmas Eve.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Roy and Frank, both of Bloomington. and Edward of Louisville, one daughter, Mrs. Henrietta Hunter of Bloomington; 26 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Redman's Lodge. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Greene and Harrell Funeral Home. Friends may call there after 6 p.m. Saturday
John married Arminta "Minta" SIMS, daughter of James Matthew SIMS and Nancy Ann MALICOAT, on Sep 17, 1891 in Greene Co In. (Arminta "Minta" SIMS was born on Jan 28, 1874, died on Jan 31, 1899 in Green Co In and was buried in Liberty Cemetary, Greene Co, IN.)
