Frank Tennison Raper. 91, of Bloomington, died Saturday at the Fountanbleu Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 6, 1894, in Greene County. he was the son of John and Arminta (Sims) Raper. He was a retired cabinet maker with the Showers Brothers Furniture Company. He was an Army veteran of World War 1, and a former member of the American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps. He attended the Eastside Nazarene Church.
Survivors include his wife. Flossie (Martin) Raper of Bloomington: two daughters, Jane Humphrey and Bonnie Lavender, both of Bloomington; Three sons, Richard Raper of Bloomington, Jackie Raper of la Selva Beach. Calif and Tommy J. Raper of Tucson, Ariz: one half brother. Edward W. Raper of Louisville, Ky.: 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Billy G. Raper; Two brothers. Roy and Bertie Raper: one half sister, Henrietta Hunter; and his stepmother, Laura (Burks) Raper. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Allen funeral Home with the Rev. Don Bruin officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery. friends may call at the funeral home from 3-9 p.m. today from noon until services Tuesday
