Obituary:

Bethesda, Md Ralph H. Brown, 81, of Besthesda, MD., died Dec. 21 at his daughter's residence in Tucson, Ariz. Born in Iowa, he grew up in Bloomington, where he attended Indiana University. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He worked for University Chebrolet in Bloomington and in 1954 opened his own Buick dealership in Monticello. IN 1960, he moved to Washington, D. C., where he started Ralph Brown Buick. IN 1966, he moved the dealership to Bethesda, where he operated it until 1982. In 1989, he joined the W. C. And A. N. Miller Realtors as a sales associate. His memberships included the University and Congressional country clubs and the Kiwanis Club. He was a past president of the Thomas House Society and the John Carroll Society. Survivors include one son, Bret Brown of Bethesda, Md.; two daughters, Lisa Bick of Indianapolis and Erin Price of Tucson, Ariz; one sister, Marie Brown of Bloomington; two brothers, Paul Brown of Chicago, Ill., and Warren Brown of Indianapolis; seven grandhcildren and three great-grandchildren. he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence (Bowers) Brown. Services will be conducted Saturday in Bethesda. De Vol Funeral Home in Washington, D. C. , is in charge of arrangements.
